NZ Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age Annual Meeting
Kia ora koutou, we welcome you to the RANZCP NZ Faculty of Old Age Conference being held at the Fable Hotel,Auckland,from midday Thursday 18 June to 4.00pm Friday 19 June 2026.
We welcome NZ Psychiatry of Old Age Faculty members as well as those interested in old age psychiatry,GPs, geriatricians to register.

Keynote Speakers include:
Geof Shirtcliffe Commissioner -Te Aka Matua o te Ture | Law Commission.
Tessa Bromwich Principal Legal and Policy Adviser -Te Aka Matua o te Ture | Law Commission.
They will be presenting as follows:
Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 - overview of key issues and recommendations for reform.
Recommended reforms relating to decision-making capacity, its assessment and its role in decision-making arrangements
Professor Kate Diesfeld
Professor of Law,School of Public Health and Interprofessional Studies
Auckland University of Technology, will be presenting on :
Decision-making capacity law developments in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Dr Greg Young will also be presenting alongside Professor Kate Diesfeld, further details TBA.
We also encourage volunteers from attendees to contribute by speaking, sharing knowledge, or presenting topics of interest to the group.
Your input is invaluable in ensuring we create a programme that is both relevant and engaging.
