The Queensland Section of Youth Mental Health invites you to register to their next Dinner CPD Series.
Dr Jasvinder Singer will present " mTBI Across the Lifespan: A Neuropsychiatric Approach"
Dr Jasvinder Singh is a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist based in Brisbane with over twenty years' experience in mental health across the United Kingdom and Australia. He trained in the UK, gaining his MRCPsych and CCT in Old Age Psychiatry with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and an MMedSc in Clinical Psychiatry from the University of Leeds, and served as Consultant Neuropsychiatrist at Walkergate Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, with honorary senior consultant appointments at Newcastle and Birmingham Universities.
He works in private, holds a VMO appointment as Consultation-Liaison Neuropsychiatrist at Greenslopes Private Hospital. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and a co-opted member of the Binational Section of Neuropsychiatry, and founded the Global Neuropsychiatry Group, a virtual academic network for neurologists and psychiatrists with more than a thousand members.
His clinical and research interests span acquired brain injury, epilepsy and psychosis, functional neurological disorder and movement disorders. He has been involved in research, was the area Investigator on the CODES trial of CBT for dissociative seizures, has published in Practical Neurology, BJPsych Bulletin and the Cochrane Library, contributed the neuropsychiatry chapter to the RCPsych ECT Handbook, and is currently working on a book on Recent Advances in Neuropsychiatry.
